State-of-the-Art Equipment. Stan’s operates newer, late model equipment and has a frequent trade cycle for all equipment across all divisions. Short trade cycles allow for us to capitalize on the latest technology and operate the most aerodynamic and fuel-efficient trucks, trailers, and reefer units. Trailers have side skirts to reduce air drag and all trailers and trucks have X-One tires that provide a lower per axle weight and rolling resistance. These factors contribute to a higher than average MPG month after month.

Drivers. We have an intensive hiring process that allows us to hire the best of the best. From new hires to the 35-year veterans, we hold ourselves to high standards that produce positive results for the Stan’s Team and our customers. Our driver pool has 400+ years of combined experience.

Technology. We utilize PeopleNet units for tracking and communication with all our units, while also using various types of technology in the cab, including in-cab scanners. The majority of our drivers use electronic logs to help us improve efficiency and safety throughout the fleet.

Facility. At our facilities here in Alpena, South Dakota we employ a full-time dispatch team, full-service shop with certified technicians and also have a wash bay on site to help us run as efficiently as possible.

On-Time Delivery. Carriers are measured using a variety of metrics with on-time delivery being a key factor. Stan’s is proud of our consistently high on-time rating.

Safety. Safety is a high priority at Stan’s for the employees, the company, and the customers. Our low CSA/ISS score is a reflection of Stan’s safety culture.

Awarded by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to those business and industry leaders who are committed to improving freight efficiency in ways that reduce costs and enhance competitiveness while benefiting the environment and strengthening the nation’s economy and energy security.
